Canada Visas

Work Visas

If you are a Canadian employer looking to bringing foreign workers to Canada or if you are a foreigner whom has received an employment offer from a Canadian employer, we can help you navigate through the paperwork.

Our firm can help you with the preparation and submission of Labour Market Opinions (LMO), Certififcats d’acception du Québec (CAQ) and various work permit applications.

It is important to note that starting April 1st, 2011, the Government of Canada has made the hiring and employing foreign workers more complex. Some of the most notable changes are:

  • Service Canada will be scrutinizing job offers more closely in order to determine if the job offer is truly genuine.
  • Service Canada will be conduction more verifications on employers to assure that they are complying with the conditions that are being imposed on their foreign workers. If an employer is found to be in contravention of these conditions, they will be barred from hiring any temporary foreign workers for a period of 2 years.
  • A foreign worker will only be allowed to work in Canada for a period of 4 years, following which they must return back to their home country for a period of 4 years prior to making a request to return to Canada to assume employment.

These changes should not be taken lightly when preparing and submitting an application for a Labour Market Opinion (LMO) as a small mistake or wrong decision can lead to the possibility of not being able to hire any foreign workers for 2 full years.

Student Visas

In order to receive a visa to come to study in Canada, one must first apply to an educational institution in Canada. Once you have received your letter of admission, we would be pleased to help you with the necessary paperwork in order to secure that visa.

It should also be noted that no student visa is required for a program that is less than 6 months in length. If you wish to come to Canada to study in a program that is less than 6 months in length (for example a language course), only a visitor visa will be required.

Visitor Visas

Our firm can help in the preparation of a visitor visa for you or for a family member or friend to come to Canada. We also prepare invitation letters on behalf of the invitee.
