In order to be successful in an application for permanent residence as a skilled worker in Canada, you must meet certain criteria:
- Be between the ages of 21 and 49;
- Have as a minimum, a 2 year university diploma or a 2 year post-secondary diploma;
- Be fluent in English or French;
- In the last 10 years, have at least 1 year of work experience (preferably 2 years) in a qualifying employment category;
In addition, other factors that will be considered:
- Spouse's education credentials;
- Previous study or work in Canada;
- Family in Canada;
- Assured employment offer in Canada.
