On October 14th, 2009 new regulations came into effect which has affected application submitted after this date with Immigration Quebec. Changes have been made in regards to the evaluation grid – namely, removal of second specialty, removal of points for diplomas obtained in Quebec, changes to areas of training in demand in Quebec, and to the points attributed to age.

Applications submitted prior to October 14th, 2009, but not yet studied by Immigration Quebec, will be evaluated under the prior regulations, as well as the new regulations. The regulations that are most favourable to the applicant will be followed.
